EXPOSURE:
Exposure to a variety of styles of music through recorded and live performance - we'll explore basic rhythms and other aspects of music in exciting ways!
INSTRUMENT EXPLORATION:
Children are provided an assortment of instruments to explore and use to jam along to recorded music. |

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT:
Children are encouraged to "dance to the music!" -using props such as scarves to discover different ways we can move to music.
SING, SING, SING

REPETITION AND FAMILIARITY:
Children learn through repetition - by hearing familiar songs again and again, children internalize certain rules about music regarding melody and harmony. In this way, without even knowing it, children become expert music listeners! |

I am an Early Childhood Educator and Musician living in North Vancouver. I am the proud father of two beautiful girls who challenge and inspire me every day. I studied at Capilano University first in Early Childhood Education and later in music, majoring in guitar as part of the Jazz Studies Program. |
